If you're on the early end of the Baby Boom generation, I'll bet you'd say 1967 when you're arguing the best year for music on the radio.
If you're on my end of the Baby Boom -- the late end -- I'll bet you'd argue that, no, 1971 was a better music-radio year than 1967. I don't know about you (and you might be a Millennial and thoroughly confused by the whole question for all I know), but I love me some 1971.1971 WAS a great year for music -- particularly Top-40 radio. And if you don't believe me . . . brother, you need to be listening to this week's edition of 3 Chords & the Truth.

It was a great year for my Motorola 10 transistor radio with FM and I could only get two FM's where we lived... BUT, that AM had a wonderful coil (Ha, KOIL!) antenna and at night: WLS, WCFL, WLAC, WOAI, WABC... Daytime: WJPS, WAKY, KXOK and WXLW shined...
