You know, it gets harder and harder to try and do the Big Show with even something of a smile on one's face. At some point -- with a million dead of COVID and a fascist political party egging on murderous white supremacists -- a smile starts to feel like a delusion.

Still, you try. Still, you seek out joy -- and music.

Such is life in these Disunited States of Dystopia . . . er, America.
