For years, I have been thinking, "I...Oh, man.

For years, I have been thinking, "If the pro-lifers are as zealous for their cause as they claim to be, especially when they get their Jeremiah on and thunder forth about how abortion is exactly like (a.) the Holocaust and (b.) slavery, then why for God's sake aren't they acting as you would expect them to if they really believed that? Where's their French Resistance? If the politicians they elect are as pro-life as they claim to be during their campaigns, why haven't they shut down everything until they overcome legal abortion? I'm not saying I'd want to see it done this way, but really: all that big fat talk about abortion being as evil as Nazism and slavery, but they just keep flailing away at it with, like, ballot boxes.

What I mean is, they are probably ashamed, or should be, that they never generated anything like an Occupy movement against abortion. So, they picketed some clinics. They march once a year in Washington. Big deal. They just keep hammering at it through electoral politics, and as you know, they've simply been used by the Right to carry water for all the other crap the Right wants to do (for which we now have to occupy Wall St.).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
